Vatanix is looking for aPassive Infrastructure Manager – IT Networking to join our team in Chennai, India. The Passive Infrastructure Manager oversees the planning, deployment, and maintenance of all passive networking components, including structured cabling systems, server racks, conduits, and related infrastructure.

This role ensures that passive systems are installed according to standards, supporting optimal network performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end passive networking projects including design, planning, execution, and handover.
• Supervise teams for structured cabling, fiber termination, copper cabling, rack installation, patch panel dressing, etc.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEMs, and internal teams for project planning and execution.
• Review project drawings, layouts, and BOQs to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations.
• Manage vendor/supplier coordination, material procurement tracking, and delivery management.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare documentation, and track project schedules and milestones.
• Ensure timely closure of projects with sign-off reports and proper as-built documentation.
• Adhere to project quality, EHS, and compliance standards.
• Track project budgets, risks, and handle escalations effectively.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6A, Cat7, OFC, etc.)
• Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and copper cable testing (Fluke, Lantek).
• Familiarity with industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC).
• Experience in data center cabling, backbone cabling, and horizontal cabling.
• Hands-on with AutoCAD, MS Project/Excel, and documentation tools.
• Experience managing ELV/IBMS integration (optional but beneficial).
